U15 TRAPPED PLAYER - BRIDGE PROGRAM AUG, SEPT, OCT, EARLY-NOV

In 2015 US Soccer (the highest soccer authority in the USA) MANDATED that teams start to be formed by BIRTH YEAR. This meant that every soccer club in the USA had to switch from forming teams by SCHOOL (GRADE) YEAR to BIRTH YEAR.

While most age groups now deal with this new norm the U15 age group is impacted each year. This is because each year the U15 age group will be comprised of players in 8th GRADE and 9th GRADE.

So when CROSSFIRE OREGON holds tryouts in May we will form as many teams as possible on the BOYS side and on the GIRLS side. Those teams will begin training and compete in SUMMER TOURNAMENTS.

In AUGUST of each year the 9th GRADERS on the U15 TEAM will head off and play with their HS team.

With the 8th GRADERS we will provide training and form teams who will compete in a U15 OYSA FALL LEAGUE for the months of AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, and some of NOVEMBER. We will refer to this program as the BRIDGE PROGRAM. Exactly how many teams we form will be based on how many 8th GRADERS are on our U15 teams.

In late OCTOBER, early-NOVEMBER our 9th GRADE HS players will finish up their seasons on their HS teams and as our 8th GRADE players on our BRIDGE PROGRAM TEAMS finish up their season teams will then begin to train back in their regular structure from tryouts in MAY.
